I have the MP version. Very light IMO, but comfortable, even with a stiff polyester string at 60 lbs.

sounds good, but how does it perform

the lack of weight hurt the way it played for me. then again, i'm used to hitting with heavier frames. it had ample spin and pop though, but not enough mass to really stay with heavy hitters.

The heavier version of Cat V1 is Catpult V10 V Engine. It has 315gm but the rest is almost idential to V1 Classic. This is th e V1 for imtermediate heavy hitter who love to hit with V1 but found V1 too light and without substances. However, this version is not available yet in USA.

Leslie Kwong - When you say not available in the US yet, do you have information that at some point the Cat V10 V-engine will be available in this country?

I strung a Catapult V1 MP and weighed it . It was 11.4oz strung. That's certainly not a lightweight, although some people do like heavier frames. It could be easily customized with lead tape.

I have used the Catapult V1 OS, & it's a very nice frame. It's a little heavier then what i'm used to using, so i tend to hit more balls in the net, but control-wise, it's terrific. Doesn't give me as much power as I'm used to either; but that's just a case of me getting stronger lol. To me however it's a very stiff racquet, stiffer then the ones I use (which is weird bc according to TW, the racquet i use are much much stiffer).

I was speaking with the local Volkl rep today and he indicated that according to his superiors in NH, there is no certainty that the V-10 will ever be introduced in the USA. The USA is now the biggest market for Volkl and they will not introduce the new bat here unless it does very well in other markets. He didn't think there was a huge market for the bat. Sounds like they are trying to protect their market share in the USA.
