How do you like to play? im in between the defensive and stratigical play i look for a weekness and take it to my advantage, i adapt to there play and play there problems, i dont go for the power i make them use all there energy for a better and easier win for the rest of the rounds.

S&V would never be Defensive. It's an ATTACKING style ;)

its attacking 100%, but chip and charge can be considered defensive also...

HOW!?
You chip the serve to go to the net, and rule the point... by attacking...

HOW!?
You chip the serve to go to the net, and rule the point... by attacking... :rolleyes:He might be saying that it's defensive because usually chipping/slicing is associated with defending (slices float in the air longer, therefore giving you more time to reposition yourself).
I wouldn't consider chip & charge defensive though, because you chip in order to set up the attack, not to get into a defensive position. I guess if you consider defending the net to be a defensive tactic, then you could call chip & charge defending the net, but it's still not a defensive tactic.
Just my two cents.

How the hell did you come up with those numbers!?
Chip and Charge isn't defensive AT ALL. No numbers here. It's like S&V, but without the serve, on return services ;)

Chip and charge is strategic as the OP's choices state. Dispensing with chipping and charging and just knocking the poopy out of the ball for a winner would more be the modern standard bearer for attacking style.

I'm defensive/strategic.
I played a pretty short kid the other day, but he was good. So I hit with extreme topspin, almost like a topspin lob, and it bounced over his head. Easy points for me. :D

Am playing defence just, but i always try to hit the ball in random speed and direction that way my opponet runs and i take out his legs first, then comes something am still working on, its a slice shot that bounce low but for the looks of it, its impossible:confused:

You mean a drop shot? I love my drop shot. I can hit it off of anything.

flatten out your slice stroke and hit through the ball more than chopping at it. make like a bow shape or sideways ) and your slices will stay low and skid.

All-court.
If my opponent is attacking, I defend.
If my opponent is defending, I attack.

I don't think those choices are the best; if one plays strategically, there will be times where the player will attack with sufficient power and there will be times when he or she will defend to get into a neutral position.

I consider myself a strategic, attacking player. I hit most of my forehands down the line to set up my weapon - the backhand. I feel confident against anyone if I can get into a BH crosscourt rally. With my backhand, I am powerful and accurate, so I attack down the line after an angle crosscourt. If the player is smart enough to realize that my backhand is much better, and rallies down the line to my forehand, I will take it early and go crosscourt after a few shots. I only come to net when I expect a very easy putaway volley because my volleys are not nearly as strong as my groundstrokes. My serve is average for most players of my level, but I have a very good kick that I use to set up points.

HAHA...yeah...remember...he's a serve and volleying, chip and charging pusher.
im more of a power/strategic. i'll hit hard when i need to, but most of the time, it's just placement and direction
