I just recently used a Poly string for the first time and am having a very positive experience with it. http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/viewtopic.php?t=11797
So, I'm now trying to learn more about the various Poly strings. There was a recent thread where ALU-Touch was recommended, http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/viewtopic.php?t=11398
So, I looked at the ALU-Touch details. It's a hybrid using ALU-Power and Supersense and either string can be used for the crosses or mains.
Can anyone recommend which to use for the mains ? And/or can someone explain what the advantage of using the Supersense for the mains vs using it for the crosses ? My guess is that using Supersense for the mains would provide more feel and comfort, where using ALU-Power for the mains might provide more power (and control ?).
I play a controlled, but aggressive all-court game. I like to control the point. I'll come in on short balls and will S&V if my serve is on and I can win points on it. I play on clay during the summer months, where I might only throw in the occasional S & V. I like to hit hard, but not at the expense of control.
TIA.
