I may be on my own but i hate this guy... Sometimes he acts like a child tryin to goad his opponents... Acting like a buffoon and really hurting the game with his theatrics.... I pray robredo kicks his behind...

Robredo is 3-0 against him. So, I'd give Robredo the edge. Stepanek is fast, Robredo is accurate. His passing shots today against the tall Ancic were fabulous.

I'd pick Robredo in 3 sets.

It's a best 3 of 5 set final isn't it?

I don't think Hamburg is a best of 5 affair.

Edit: Yeah it is best 3 sets out of 5. My bad.

Well, I'll certainly be rooting FOR Stepanek - he has a much more interesting game, IMO.

I'm not going to argue that on clay, Robredo's a pretty clear favorite though.

Hamburg is a Master's Series, it has a 3/5 final. I too will be rooting for Stepanek. He has a throw back game which I find easy on the eye. He does remind me a bit of Nastase in that he loves to run his opponents.

Robredo looks like a favorite on clay, but if Radek plays well he can rattle him with net play. Interesting matchup for sure. First Masters title for either one of them.

The Canadian Masters is best of 3, not 5. Unless they've changed something lately.

Hmmmmm.....then I should have said the Hamburg Masters is a 3/5 Masters Series. I wonder why they don't play all 3/5 finals in Masters Series events?

Canadian is best of three and so is Cincy. Maybe it has something to do with chance of oppressive heat and humidity in N. America in the middle of the summer and being so close to the Open. Or being dictated to by ESPN/NBC.

VAMOS TOMMY!

i think its more heat related.

remember when robby won indy last year?

it was 98..IN THE SHADE. 120 on court..it was INSANE..dent retired because of crap like that

I was at Indy that day it was awful. Not only did Dent retire Aspelin/ Perry retired in doubles right after.

I like both players so i dont have a fav to root for. Anyhow, I would like radek to win just because his way of playing is different from anyone else. Robredo has a more common game...
As i said in the thread in match results, i like radek in 5.
Cheers.

....and Stepanek is a SPLITTING IMAGE of the guy from TV's Two and a Half Men. It's the sitcom with Charlie Sheen - the guy's name is Jon Cryer. Someone really ought to post pictures of these two guys side-by-side.
