Since 2 or 3 years, Federer's results on clay prove that he is the second best player on clay just behind Nadal, and head and shoulders better than the rest of the field. So why so many peoples here dismiss his real ability on clay, and act like if Federer was nothing on clay and anyday at the mercy of any so called "clay court specialist" journeyman player <the likes of Acasuso, Robredo, Chela, and co'...>

Please explain?

It's the whole Fed fanboys vs Nadal fanboys that exaggerate this debate.

Nadal is Fed's only weakness. Nadal is the current master of clay.

Fed has yet to win the FO, the only GS that eludes him. The FO is played on clay.

Remove Nadal and I don't think anybody would be talking about Fed's ability or inability on clay.

oh come on, aren't you exaggerating a bit?

If you ignore the obvious troll posts, there are not a lot of people talking about his game on clay as if it is nothing compared to the likes of Acasuso and co.

personnaly I voted "hate" by error, but really wanted to vote "ignorance", I think that most peoples who doubt about Federer on clay, are peoples who are unable to keep in memory, Federer's result on clay, and see him only as a fast court player due to his tremendous results on faster surfaces, they are also victims of all the tennis stereotypes about clay, thinking that only pure topspin backcourt hispanic players are competent on clay, which in their minds, disqualifies Federer and his allcourt game from being a significant factor on clay.

Many troll posts yes, but also many posters who were serious and actually really believed what they were writing when they posted their own craps.
