i was in the same situation as you. i had BFIIs, and bought the white/white/obsidian Breathe 3's. imo, they last a little longer, are a little higher, but overall a very good successor of the BFIIs. however, some people seemed to like the BFIIs better...so you might want to try the Breathe 3's on before buying.

I like BF II compare BF III for comfort, stability and cushioning. One thing is for sure BFIII are heavy compare to II
