i play a lot of tennis, and unfortunately i have sweaty palms. Usually a grip stays white for me for about 45 minutes.....lol..... not to mention they lose their original feel really fast.... so i was looking for some help:
first: would using a towel often on my arms and hands increase the life of the grip or
second: is there a absorbent grip (NOT TOURNA) that does not just feel like a piece of cloth

i use wilson pro grip...its nice...i sweat ALOT...some ppl think it gets slippery...but i dont notice it...so u might want to try Wilson Pro Overgrip...or Yonex Supergrap....Babolat overgrips.....all good grips....just use a towel to wipe some of the sweat off cuz a grip can only hold so much excess sweat...

I play a lot and I sweat. I use fresh Yonex supergraps and a good wristband, too. That helps, even on the sweatiest summer days.
And I rotate frames.
A guy I hit with is way more of a sweat-er than I am. He swears by Babolat Symbio overgrips (with the little dimples).

I tried Super Grap, and Tourna, but I think Wilson Pro is the best. It comes in different colors that have the same charateristics so it won't get that dirty. --> (compared to a white grip) It also retains its tackyness along time. It feels the best IMO.
A towel and/or a wristband will help.

Super Grap is God in a overgrip form.

I agree, babolat symbio and wilson pro overgrips are all great, also you could pick up a rosin bag (sylvie has them), and wristbands and towels all help a lot; it's easy to just wipe off your hands when you switch sides in a set.

just drys off your hands so your overgrips last longer
they're like 5 bucks I think
is supergrap as cushioned as pro overgrip?

Super Grap is a little thinner than Wilson Pro.
If you want a dry feeling grip with good durability, go with Prince No Sweat overgrips. If you like more tack, then the obvious choice is Wilson Pro or Yonex Super Grap.
If you sweat like crazy and you want the thickest possible overgrip, try Dunlop Hydramax overgrips. At 1 mm thick, they are by far the thickest I have ever seen.

Why don't you use Yonex "Dry" Grap. That's meant to be absorbent, a bit softer and more durable than tourna.

Why not one of those towel grips?

I have the same problems. Changed grip because I wanted to try new ones, but I think will go back to SuperGrap as fast as I can. In the meanwhile I've tried Gauze and it completely solved my problem, no slippery at all, no sweat at all. Personally I think it's much better than anything I've tried so far out there.
