Am impressed that Nadal is even playing Queen's(& he played Halle last year)
He is the 1st FO Champ to play a grasscourt event prior to W since Moya in '98. Many FO Champs skip W as well.

'04 Gaudio-skipped grass season & W
'03 Ferrero-skipped grass season, played W
'02 Costa-skipped grass season & W
'01 Kuerten-skipped grass season & W
'00 Kuerten-skipped grass season, played W
'99 Agassi-skipped grass season, played W

Also I think if Federer wins Halle, he's the 1st FO finalist to win a grasscourt warmup same season. Most FO finalists don't play before Wimbledon either(if they play Wimbledon at all)

Yes, good on them. Just shows that Rafael is serious about winning Wimbledon some day. He realizes that if he is ever to win, he better learn how to play on turf, given it's short "season". I'm glad both of them had a couple days off to rest up.

Edited to add:

Rafael is also playing doubles at Queens too. Roger is not in the doubles draw at Halle.
