Do ALL ProStaffs manufactured in St. Vincent have the letter "Q" in the buttcap? There seems to be a flaw in the assertion that if there is no "Q" then it's not St.V

Have in mind that it's easy to replace a buttcap. Want to buy a cracked St Vincent with a chinese buttcap from me? ;)

Not all St.Vincents have the "Q" in the buttcap. I have seen St.Vincents with the original plastic on the handle, and the "Made in St.Vincent" Sticker on the butcap that do not have the "Q".

The surest way to know is the red primer.

No thanks, David! ;) And what could you possibly have done with that "St. Vincent" butt cap? :?

Have you guys also noticed how some of the PS 85's have different tension specs? Ive seen some with 55-65, and some with 65-70 whereas the current Chinese ones are 50-60 lbs.

I put it on a PD+ and it's going on **** as we speak for $300 and counting.

No thanks, David! ;) And what could you possibly have done with that "St. Vincent" butt cap? :?

cakewalk you are correct. The very earliest models, (also falsely known as Chicagos, without the bumper guard) have different tension specs.

What kinds of codes did those non-Q St. Vincents have??? I heard something about having an X in the code?

For the most part, they usually have the "Q". I have seen some with an "X", or somtimes neither.

Again, the surest way to tell is if the racquet has the red primer underneath the paint.
