View Full Version : ideal movement pattern

Well I was just wondering whether i had the ideal movement pattern towards and away from a ball correct.

Split, sprint to the ball, stop then hit, crossover step, then shuffle to a spot on the court diagnol from where you hit the ball, then split repeat.

Is this how you should move?

Thanks for the advice Marius. I looked at the threads and I did not understand one thing. Someone mentioned arching around the baseline (or court I'm not sure which). What does this mean?

Idealistically, you shouldn't be thinking about movement too much, besides the split step and the first step right after that. I think becoming quick on court just involves hard work, lots of sprints and running drills.
