Hey guys, sooooo I've been playing since April! Any thoughts on my forehand & serve? I haven't gotten the hang of wall hitting yet (the ball either goes over the wall or comes back too fast  ) so the videos are just of me self-feeding.

hahah i love how you run back to the camera, I give you a 10 for that alone. Seriously though, forehand looks good. I am no serve expert, but I think you are tossing it out too far in front. Your body should not be so open when you hit it. Here is my serve, which is pretty good but I could still use some work I know.

http://lucky.phpwebhosting.com/~chkelly/ckserve.gifYou are serving right-handed. It's weird how you land on your "right" leg.

OMG you are hypnotized by her looks...
About tennis, the forehand could not be rated. I need to see someone feeding you the ball or see a rally. As for serve, pretend you are trapped in a cyclinder, then serve. Keep the head up a little longer after contact.

Okay, anyhow, so the moral of the story is: "'IF' you happen to be a righty server who lands on the right leg, then that is usually uncommon. Guedoguedo's serve landing is 'normal'".

OK, well firstly find a partner. There's no use just setting the ball up for yourself. Since April eh? That's pretty damn good i could barely hit the ball for that long.

Your making contact on your serve with your arm bent. Really try to reach up for the ball making sure you extend all the way into it. Move your toss a little back as well because you looked really awkward trying to get all the way out in front to hit the ball. It almost looks like your being a little timid on the serve. As for the forehand, can't really rate you on that.

try to lift your both legs in the air a bit (jump foward to the net) ,landing with your front foot first...u did, but it's not synchronized

For your forehand, you are hitting with a straight arm(locked elbow?) and a windmill motion. By windmill, I mean your racket head travels in a circular path with your shoulder as the pivot point. This is bad because the circular path requires perfect timing to hit it straight ahead. If your timing is off, then you can hit it to the right or left. So you want your racket head in a more linear path.
Bend your arm a bit more. Point the butt of your racket toward the net for your takeback. Sometimes your takeback is too far back, so make sure your takeback is not behind your back. When you swing, pull your racket forward with the butt still facing the net. As you get closer to contact, you can swing the face of the racket around to meet the ball. After contact, extend the linear path as much as possible by pretending you are hitting 3-6 balls in a row. Then follow through like usual. Practice shadow swinging to get the hang of the new motion.

yah, feeding the ball yourself won't do much good. you should find a wall or a partner as mentioned before. your form looks good for your forehand though, you just have to build some arm strength. Your serve is slightly awkward. Close your stance a little more. You're hitting the ball a little late, causing mishits, and weird shots. So you can either toss it a little higher, not so much in front, or swing a little faster. You should hit the ball right when the ball is at its climax rise.

If you just started playing in April, you are definitely on the right track. Keep it up.

I reall like they way you did your videos:mrgreen:
Really though you look good, ther serve is just not there though.
With the serve you need to get/feel as if you are under the ball, this can only happen with a high ball toss, don't toss into the court like that, wait until a later time to take that step.
Next it looks like you are not extending enough, your whole body should be extending into the shot, ie using your legs.
Keep the momentum of the racket and the fluidity of the body inorder to get more speed and control.

You need to know how to judge whether or not you should hit a bad toss. I saw your serve II video and the toss on the first serve was pretty bad (I think it was to far ahead) and on your 2nd serve you had like 3 so-so tosses that you could have served but you chose to go with one that was too far to your right.

on your serve...you are hitting the ball to low. You need to feel full streched when you hit the ball. You need some practice lessons :(
