You guys thought Mirka didn't you? Be honest now.

June 15, 2006
Tennis player Roger Federer has signed a multi-year endorsement deal with Rolex. Federer previously endorsed Rolex before signing with Maurice Lacroix in 2004. He paid a ‘break-up fee’ to Lacroix to end his deal with the company two years into a five-year contract.

How much will the 'break up fee' be when he splits with Mirka?

anyone here might know how much he is pulling from various contracts. it would be good read...

i read somewhere that his wilson LIFETIME deal is worth $2million/year. so, even when he retires from the game, he will be earning the the big bucks...

yeah, he has nothing to worry about for the rest of his life. after he retires from the pro circuit, he can just sit back and let the money roll in on its own.

As I recall, Agassi was still the top money making tennis player
in 2005. Agassi made something like 26 million $ and Sharapova
slightly less. It's certainly possible both Federer and Nadal
earns less $$ than Sharapova or even Michelle Wie..

Yup. Federer's getting 2 million a year for the rest of his life from Wilson.

Agassi made about 25-27 million last year. Forbes states that Sharapova pulled in 19 million and Michelle Wie 17 million. With all of Federer's contracts and cosmetic lines and stuff, especially in Europe and Asia where he is extremely popular, he could easily be earning over 20 million a year.

I personally thought and hoped the thread is about break up with Roche.

I'd bet Rolex paid Federer's break-up fee with Maurice Lacroix to get him back to Rolex. It's just like how a company pays off an executive's remaining contract with their former company to get the executive to jump ship sooner.

That's probably true because I can't see Roger paying out of his own pocket to get out of the contract.
