Can´t figure it out.
Why Aroth is wimbledons 3rd seed.
Shouldn´t Nalbandian and Lubicic be first in that position instead ??????

Thanks

no, the seeding is done by grass results and roddick has been finalist 2 times now. there is a formula that they use to make the seeds, it may still be up on the wimbledon site. plus if u look somewhere in the general pro player dis. there was a big topic on seeds

Hmm, well he made it to the finals two years in a row. . . It isn't rocket science.

Wimbledon is known for giving better seedings to those who have done well at recent wimbledons.

simply because England loves Roddick....Nadal however, is an exception...he just won the FO twice in a row...thus Roddick cant be ranked 2nd above Nadal...i d say Roddick will be out in 3rd round or so...but you never know...lets see how the today match goes:p

The All England Club then applies a formula to re-order the 32 players who earn a seed. The formula is:

· Take INDESIT ATP Entry Ranking points at Monday, June 13, 2005
· Add 100% of points earned for all grass court tournaments in the previous 12 months
· Add 75% of points earned at a player’s best grass court event in the 12 months before that.

from that thread i was talking about... the reason nadal is 2 is because of his atp points... i dont think just based on grass he wouldve been in the top 10...

See above for why he is seeded #3, but if you want to make a quick buck, place a bet he doesn't make the semis.

he is seeded 3 because he is a great grass court player, especially at wimbledon.
