Just looking at the stats on wimbledon.org & thought this was funny:

Federer came to net 65 times combined in his 1st, 2nd & 3rd round matches(9 total sets)

Nadal came to net 60 times in his 1st & 2nd Round matches (8 total sets)

He comes to net more times per set than Fed.

He has an equal win % at net as Fed-80%

Yeah, most of players make more net approaches than
Federer at Wimbledon. Federer and Nadal are a same kind
in macro scale. This is an era of baseliners.

Rafa looked really good at net, he was hitting some really nice dropshot volleys, those are hard to measure. Kudos to him. He is so not winning this one though.

Well he can't rally against big heavy hitters and win more points at the baseline, so go figure huh?

People are talking about the net game. How on earth did you make the jump to winning Wimbledon?

prolly cuz of fact topic starter mentioned about nadal comes to the net more than federer on grass

It's because Nadal is not as effective from the baseline on grass. He has to run forward and try to finish points at the net.

Through 6 matches, he's still coming to net more.

Amazing thing is that Nadal ventures into net at all the right time!

I haven't seen the semi's yet but Nadal is possibly zoning...
Nadal showed his 1st confident look on grass in the matches
with Niemenen. It's scary to think Nadal would be this much
quick study...
