What's a summer in the US for a tennis fan without hearing this song on NBC! You asked for it and you got it. Well, you didn't ask for it, but I'll post it anyway as there's nothing going on in the middle Sunday of Wimbledon. Might as well have a good listen and savor it after next week is over and some of us go into withdrawals.

The NBC theme music is better than ESPN tennis theme. I like USO on USA network theme music the best. I always associate it with the start of football season and fall weather eventhough it is still pretty hot in Florida. I also like night tennis and the labor day weekend.

Ya the USA network theme is really good. It gets me pretty pumped to watch (or play) tennis.

The weak violin melody that was probably whipped up in five minutes is getting old on ESPN.

This is some freeware that will allow you to convert mp3 to ringtone. Once you convert, then you download it to your phone.

Phone model please? I'll help, but I'm no kid :p

Towards OP: What about the other music NBC plays... you know, that really upbeat one with alot of brass and percussion playing.

First of all, I'm glad to be a part of the forum.

Second of all, I have been looking around the dave matthews website and I dont seem to be finding anything about a recording of Ghosts of Wimbledon.

Third of all, I actually I just gave tennis lessons to Boyd Tinlsey 3 weeks ago when he was in Pittsburgh. Amazingly nice fellow with a decent game. He has an entire trailer that follows him on the road that is basically a miniature workout facility, which explains how he got so ridiculously toned. And he uses a Pure Drive that he claims Roddick gave him. Looked like a regular Pure Drive as opposed to some souped up version Roddick may or may not use. Boyd didnt really understand the concept of a paintjob though and I think was offended that I thought his stick was phony.

Hey, did anyone else notice that the intro voice to NBC's Wimbledon coverage is Captain Picard/Professor X? Wouldn't it be awesome if you had the Wimbledon ringtone and Capt. Picard/Prof. X as the voice on your answering service? I think that's what Federer must have.

Just a bump of an old post as I am still really trying to find a recording of "Ghosts of Wimbledon" with no success.

If anyone might have it or know where to get it that would be much appreciated.

I will not have such a derogatory comment made about the BBC's sports themes, having come up with classics like the theme for Wimbledon, Match of the Day, Grandstand and the Snooker.

A few (a couple?) years ago, I think beginning the second week of Wimbledon, NBC used the slowly building climax of the song "Dangerous Curves" by King Crimson. I never thought I'd hear a Crim tune associated with NBC or tennis, but it got me more pumped about watching tennis than anything else I've experienced. I immediately started backhanding my cat with my LM Rad. Good times.

I play guitar and have done for about 12 yrs now. I have only had one lesson and it seemed a waste of money as I have learnt so much by myself from books etc. Iím not great as I put it down for sometimes a year at a time usually because I no longer see much progress in my playing. I appreciate that unless I practice I wonít get any better. I would like to know what to study so that I can go between chords and tab smoothly. I hope you could help me. Thanks a lot.

On NBC, when the match program first starts, there is a opera singing or a chorus that plays over a montage of Nadal and Federer hitting shots in slow motion. Does anyone know what that chorus is?

S H O W S T O P P E R !

^ Usually those are specific montages for a certain match. All the Slams do that for the featured matches. I dunno if I can find it.
