the amount of pointless super slow motion shots at wimbledon are a joke.
Is this the BBC just showing off their NEW High definition cameras[we are a few years behind you Americans!!!] that are premiering at this years wimbledon??

examples

a pigeon flying off
a woman deploying an umbrella with a union jack on it
someone winding down a net post
a view of a persons leg who is pulling on the rain cover(TWICE)
federer throwing his sweatband into the crowd
federer walking onto centre court
the list goes on...

on a positive note there's a few good ones

feeder hitting a backhand volley
Hewitt's racket wobbling like jelly after the smashes it to the ground then it smacks him in the face!!(best one!)

it has its good features aswell though. when you see federer's stokes in slow-mo you can see what a magician he is.

Damn - I didn't get to see any of these super-slo-mo's.

On ESPN/NBC in America, I did see the super-slo-mo of Murray's gf doing a hideous grin while cheering him on (did anybody else see this?)... WHY WAS THIS SHOWN IN SUPER-SLO-MO? Because they can??? I don't get it.

They had a nice slowmo of Sharapova returning a blistering forehand for a winner, she was leaning into a shot big time, excellent preparation, too. She can't hit on the run for shiit, but when she has time she can hit a really heavy ball.

i bet the BBC were "real" interested Sharapova ball techniques(!)
