I'm planning on stringing my racquet with luxilon ALU power, and I see that many people here hybrid. I dont' know why this is, however.

It seems cheaper just to use lux only, and easier. Is it bad to play without a hybrid? Is a hybrid "better?" The racquet that I use is in my sig.

Best of both worlds: durability of polys and kevlar coupled with the softness and playability of multis/natgut/synthetic or whatever you use for crosses.

An all-luxilon string job can be very harsh if you're not up to it. A sure-fire recipe for TE, as many on the boards can attest (do a search). In the end, whether you go hybrid or not depends on personal preference and what you are trying to accomplish.
