As low as you can control i was a 59-58 man now using lowest ever at 54 and love it.

Your string tension depends on what racquet you are using in general.

If you want control you string around the high 50's to low 60's. If you want power you string the high 40's low 50's. If you want a good blend of power and control then you string around the mid 50's.

One thing about the Luxilion Alu-Power is that you can have some arm problems. I did. I had my racquet strong at 63 and about after 6 months my arm was killing. So I would watch how high you string it.

But the great thing about the Luxilion Alu-Power is that they are great strings. They are very difficult to break and they are very difficult to move. But like said they can lead to some arm problems.

Did this combu at around 56 coss but made main lower 54? A new setup but lasted long and was good, still bit painful though.

wow egrtennis3, 4 posts in 3 minutes, each one sentence, very nice..

anyways, to answer the OP's question, higher tension means less power and more control, and lower tension means the opposite of that. for spin, lots of people say to string high, but i say to string low, because there is more dwell time on the stringbed, and the higher amount of power makes you add more spin to keep the ball in.

i say string higher

that way, if you don't like it just step on the strings a bit to lower the tension until you do like it...

if you string low then want to go higher, you can't.

if your a very controlled player that doesnt hit the ball too hard: 50-56 . if your need more controlled shots go for a higher tension 57-62

It depends on what kind of player you are and also the string you are using

String a poly tighter is just asking for arm problems...A synthetic gut cross will help to reduce this, but if your strokes are not sound - you might think twice on the using a poly...
