I have been playing tennis 4-5 hours for 8 straight days now. It was ok but yesterday I was playing intensely. Today, I start playing and my arm hurts. I don't know what the sign of this is. When im not moving my arm it doesn't hurt but if i bend my wrist this way or that way it is soar. Also, my biceps are hurting. Help

P.S. How exactly does it hurt when you have tennis elbow?

I'm not sure about the answer to your question, but I think that you are in the wrong forum.

I'm not sure either - maybe you should ice it, examine your technique and rest your arm for a while. If it gets worse you should probably see a doctor

It sounds like a classic case of tendonitis, which is inflammation due to ramping up your activity too fast. You need to rest up. Take a couple weeks off from tennis. Then when you come back, come back slowly. Ice after every time you play, even if it doesn't bother you while you're playing. If you don't manage your injury smartly now, it may end up becoming a long-term problem.

Maybe you are just sore from playing a lot. Rest a few days, maybe 4 to 6 days. Then play again and see if you are sore or hurting. Tennis elbow isn't in the biceps or wrist. It's hard to describe unless you had it before, but it's a pain in the lower part of your arm near the elbow. You're know if you have it; Every forehand you hit will hurt, and you know it's not from being sore. That's the best I can describe it.

Tennis elbow is on the outside of the arm were the forearm and the elbow connect (or thereabouts). Golfers elbow is on the inside of the elbow.

It could be overuse, poor technique, improper contact area, or you simply did something too much too fast. Playing a lot can bring out improper technique becuase the more you play improperly the better chance you have in getting injured.

You might want to see a tennis teaching professional you respect for some answers. Make sure you rest properly and allow time for your arm to heal.

Anything else change? Racquet? Strings? Weight?
