I am currently using a Prince Airlaunch Racquet.

It's a midplus "95" with 16x19 strings.

I received the racquet last May without breaking the strings since, while playing twice a week.

Should I restring, and if so what type of string should I buy? Should I buy Prince synthetic gut at 16, or the BB luxilon Alu?

Also, what tension should I string it at? The throat of my racquet recommends to string it at 58 plus or minus 5 pounds.

if you can't break strings, more likely than not, you shouldnt go w/ alupower. just because it's popular doesnt mean it's good for you. i'd say prince synthetics or maybe even a multifilament.

would a prince synthetic gut duraflex 17 fit me better than 16, since I don't break strings?

I would just stay with the 16 guage.

TBBB1946, recommending strings without knowing more about your skill level and style of play is just a guess. Strings are a trade-off between, price, durability, power, control and feel. It depends on what you are looking for. If you're not a string breaker and you are satisfied with how PSG/D 16g plays you're in good shape. A 17g version might give you a bit more spin potential if you are a top spin hitter. Otherwise stick with the 16g.

thanks for all the comments guys, more info on my game that might help you recommend a string is I am a 3.5 player with a semi-western forehand and one-handed eastern backhand. I play mainly from the baseline with topspin, but I like to come to the net at times to finish off points.
