View Full Version : Freshly strung strings after flying in cargo

ok heres the story.

my uncle ordered a racquet and had it strung with Lux bb Original at 63 in the States. he brought it back to here in australia, the racquets had to be put in cargo, which of course are exposed to diff temperature (low/cold), and diff pressure at high altitude.

anyway when the racquet got back here, the strings were all over the place (remember this is newly strung, unplayed Lux BB original), it looked like a bad string job. probably because exposed to diff altitude pressures and temp ( was tight and hard up in the air, and when came back to ground became softer and loss tension.

has anyone had similar experiences with shipping racquets (freshly strung) from overseas?

You don't put strung rackets in cargo.
If possible you carry it on.
Or get the racket restrung at place of destination.
