When renting a tennis court to play with your friend(s), for how many hours do you rent it?

I usually rent one for 2 1/2 hour, that allows me to play 3, maybe 4 sets.

BTW, what is the cost/hour in USD? I get to rent one with 8-10 USD/Hour.
Thanks

Tennis court costs usually vary from place to place. In the Seattle area, there are two public indoor court complexes that cost between $20-25 for either 75 or 90 minutes, and about half that cost for an outdoor court.

There are also many public courts at parks and at schools that are free.

I would think this a pretty good answer but I've never heard of 75 minute intervals - maybe he intended to say 60 minutes. Many clubs don't charge court fees anymore to their members - some still do. Most (but certainly not all) public courts are free.

When your talking about public courts generally the arrangement is that you play one set or an hour (one or the other) and then get off if their are people waiting. Generally, doubles takes preference over singles but this can be tricky. Basically there are so many different arrangements that you would be wise to chech out the options where you want to play.

I'm pretty sure that one of the two public indoor courts in the Seattle area (the Amy Yee Tennis Center) books court time in 75 minute intervals.

I only have experience with one tennis club, the one I belong to, and there's no charge for court time beyond the monthly fee, unless you want to use a ball machine ($4 for 90 minutes) or take lessons from a pro.

The tennis club at which I play charges an hourly rate. The rate depends largely on when in the year you're booking courts and at what time; indoor courts cost more in the winter than in the summer and more at 6:00 PM than at 6:00 AM. For a good warmup and a three set match, I usually book two and a half hours.

Yeah, ok - just seemed like an odd increment of time but there probably is a reason for them doing it like that. Sometimes clubs have a couple of different types of ball machines - some they rent out, some might be either free or have a nominal fee.
