wilson gut is repackaged VS gut.

Sometimes the racquetmaker's specs can produce some minor difference, usually in the direction of an immediate, obvious effect that makes the string stand out briefly. However, generally something the stringmaker produces in its own name is to be preferred. Apart from any quality difference, these typically last longer, too...

I am not challenging the fact that Babolat manufactures Wilson gut, but why the difference in thickness (between the 17g strings)? Wilson is advertised as 1.25mm, VS Team as 1.27mm.

Wilsons gut is VS, but, IMO, VS is better, I think they give Wilson the rejected gut :);)

The Vs gut lays down better, loses it's coil memory better and seems softer, imho better than the wilson as I have strung both lately, though I have had no problems with either and they both play pretty good.
