Today while i was practicing my serve, i pulled a muscle near my right lower shoulder blade area. I guess i didn't warm up enough perhaps. What is a good warm up routine asside from stretching to prevent this injury from occuring?

Also, I have been rubbing a lot of bengay and iced it when i got home. It doens't hurt asside from when i turn my shoulder into the serving motion or raise my arm substantially. I hope it isn't serious?

thanks.

Stretching is not warming up, warming up is getting the muscles warm from blood flow. Stretching on cold muscles can lead to strained muscles so be careful. Don't use bengay on strained muscles, use ice exclusively linstead. Bengay may be good for sore muscles, but for injuries, go with the ice.

You've got lucky. My friend, (15 y.o) was serving when his femur popped from his hip, and his growth plate slipped down inside his leg to just above his knee. He was a pro player, but he was out of action for 7 months and now he's lost it.
