Running forehand by Sampras unbelivable!

Thanks for the clip.

Sampras' running forehand was pretty regular shots for him.
Probably hundreds of clips even more amazing.

You'll also notice his serve "and" volleys doesn't really work
that well against Agassi. He basically beat Agassi via 1. going
for two 1st serves, 2. moving Agassi around at baseline with
ground strokes.

Yeah, that was an awesome shot. Sampras definitely had the most beautiful running forehand shot.

That was a high quality match for 4 sets. Too bad Agassi completely thrashed him in the final set. I believe he won 6-0, or 6-1.

lol, moving Agassi at the baseline ? He's no Andre Agassi at the baseline. The only shot that I consider 'great' in sampras baseline game is his running forehand and that's pretty much it. He's not gonna move Andre around at the baseline.

A thing of beauty indeed. He may not have had the best strokes ALL the time, but he had the detrmination to find ways to win more often than not. THAT is what takes a great player to the next level.

Gives me hope for my meager game!

I don't care what match his forehand or his backhand is on. If he's not allow to volley, he'd never beat a top ten baseliner, let alone Agassi.

Agassi was a great aggresive baseliner but he never was a great mover.

Agassi nullifying Sampras' serve 'and" volley game is one of many proofs
that he probably is the best returner in history....

Agassi was the only guy who could bring up what Sampras is really made of...

Bizarre avenue but since you bring it up, then where would you rank Nadal if he wasn't allowed to baseline? Please rank Krajicek if he's not allowed to serve, Courier if he wasn't allowed to get fit, and Federer if he he wouldn't be allowed to use his right hand. Could you also rank Safin if he isn't allowed to have a drink between change overs, and rank Hewitt if he's not allowed to wear shoes? Thanks.

Amazing tie-break...man, Sampras' second serve is amazing...
