Why are most OS racquets 27.5" long?

Is there some reason that 98% of the OS frames are 27.5" long?

I am a female 4.0 player, and I play with a lot of 4.0 and 4.5 women that are looking for light to mid-weight (10-11oz) OS (102 - 110) frames that are 27". The selection out there is amost non-existent. With all the 3.5 - 4.5 club doubles players out there, I would think there would be a big market for OS, standard length rackets. The longer 27.5 racquets are too hard to manuever at the net, and they also seem to be hard on the elbow and shoulder.

Take a look at the head radical OS series. I think that the 107 is 11.3 strung up.

It's so the center of the stringbed is roughly in the same spot as the midsize version relative to your hand. That way it's easy to switch between headsizes without missing a beat. :)
