I currently use a Yonex mp tour-5 but I was thinking about getting a couple of the rds 001s. That is if I can get over the color. I can't wait to see the replys.

Hey guys - I see you're both pretty new to the boards (in terms of posts if not join date).

If you use the search facility you'll find loads of reviews of the RDS frames, they're one of the more popular frames here. There'll be threads that have comparisons of them with other current frames too.

Yeah, try going to the racket's own page. And then click the Feedback and/or the Comparative Review links.

yes they are best racquet in players category i.e. RDS 001 MID and Midplus in lighter control oriented category..demo yourself and decide

I suggest trying the Ti-80 as well.

I wouldn't get a ti-80... They will be discontinued for good very shortly from what I hear.

yea i agree that the mp is too hl. id imagine the mid is extremely solid though w/ such a high swingweight. overall its pretty good though nice spin potential and surprisingly powerful for a players racquet

RDS 001 MID is very stable racquet and has old school feel with modern technology. You will feel it is light (only to advance player who is playing with heavy racquets) but once you hit racquet will show it real magic..

MID is 9.5 headlight so it compensate for 12.2 weight and makes it perfect for serve and groundies. Also when you put Luxilon BB headlight will go down by 1 or 2 point since it will add string weight as well. But you need to try all that before purchasing racquet.

It hits well. maybe if you gave us what racket you currently hit with and maybe we could draw comparisons.

here's the main thing, "players" racket = low power, control-oriented, "heavy" relatively speaking, and stable.

sounds just about right.

solid, muted with a large sweetspot. heavier than the RDX 500 and warranting similar cult status.
