Out of these pros serves who would you take?

Roger Federer has a lot kick in his serve causing the opponent to make a mistake when returning.

In hopes to cause them to make a mistake

Well, even if it doesn't cause the opponent to make a mistake, it can set himself up nicely for the next shot.

Pete's. He would serve second serve aces and could place the ball better than anyone. That 6'10 Croatian dude has a pretty good serve too and can go very wide thanks to his height.

From what I´ve seen I would pick Pete Sampras.

can't believe people aren't taking Goran an all time ace leader and the Wimbledon record holder with 212 aces in a tourney. If he had a tad better return game he would have been awesome.

What is so special about Bob Bryan's serve?

roddick got it back...he basically aced his way into winning the 2nd set when it was 5-3 roddick's serve

Goran Ivanisevic. The most unreadable 1st serve in tennis.

Of that list, Pete, no question. If I could have any serve though, it would be McEnroe. His serve was lethal. He'd spin that can opener into the ad court and be at the net while the returner was halfway into the stands.

Pat Rafter? Stefan Edberg?

Goran had the perfect toss. No drop in the ball at all when he hit it.

ima have to go with gorans serve..... too bad its impossible for my to imitate at all seeing as how he was a lefty and all.....

federer doesnt get enough credit for his serve. its a damn good serve, and its big too... I mean, his first serve is usually 120-130. not HUGE like roddicks 130-140 but still a big serve. and he places it very well. I'd take his serve over mine anyday. :)

Andy Roddick, slice serve in the deuce and slice down the T in the ad.

Fed or Lube's. Lube's kick serve bounces higher than any other I've ever seen. Ridiculous.

I'm taking Sampras because his serve make his overall game a thing of even more beauty, but Ivanisevic was the monster of servers. My vote goes to Pete, though. His was one of the most beautifully executed serves I've ever watched.

Michael Stich had one of the smoothest serves ever, even sweeter than the Sampras serve.

I think you are talking about Ivo Karlovic. he has a huge serve, and hes a nice guy too, i met him at the open a few times, very freindly.

Yeah, Federer's serve is very nice and the motion is smooth.
Roddick's serve is very fast and gives opponents very little time to react. Federer doesn't hit the ball as hard but has an excellent placement. Oh yeah, and federer has a very good second serve too.

I would like Mac's lefty slice serve on the ad court. Roddicks massive first serve on the duece side and then Pete's second serve. I don't think I would get broken too much if I had those serves.

Give me Nadal's left handed forehand, Roddic's first on deuce, Pete's second either side, Mac's lefty on ad, Federer's placement and overall skill. Oh I'll be ambidextrous, so I don't need a back hand, but for the hell of it, give me Fed's one hander, and Roddick's two handed, just for kicks.

I can dream too. :D

Next you'll want Agassi's return of serve. ;)

I think I will have Dementieva's...wait, I already do, oh crap... I saw her play at the WTA Championships and if I hadn't heard, I never would have thought "this girl has major problems serving." Or course, her serves improved a bit, but just saying that she was consistently hitting first serves in the 107mph range. Her highest, I think, was around 112.

I can't believe so few people voted for Goran the alltime ace leader. I would take his serve and run! Along with pete's forehand, Fed's backhand, Rafter's volleys, Aggasi's return, Jack Kramer's overhead, and Leyton Hewitt's intensity and RUN! Run away far to another planet and dominate the sport as long as the rules didn't change to much!:D
