Should one consciously (sp) point the butcap at the ball when hitting? I find that when I do this it breaks my swing into two parts that are not as smooth as when I don't try to do this. Should the same be done for both fh and bh (two-handed)?

Do not point the butcap at the ball because it will result in a choppy stroke and mess up your wrist. Instead point the palm of your hand at the ball.

If you point the palm at the ball wouldn't that have your raquet facing a weird direction?

On Jeff's site it says to point your butcap at an angle to the incoming ball.
