I was rallying with my cousins (I'm 15 and theyre 20+) and they hit really hard forehands, with a fair amount of spin. My returns are always significantly weaker than theirs, and its hard to keep up with their pace. So my problem is returning the power, with power.

And also, I'm getting really into tennis, and I want to get serious into tournaments and such. How would I go about finding tournaments in my area?

Thanks alot.

Join the USTA and/or check your local tennis clubs!

Don't really have an answer to your other Q...I mean if you're getting outhit, you're getting outhit. Once you improve, you'll be able to dictate points more.

Find yourself a great coach. It would have been ideal for you to work with a coach over the summer when you could spend plenty of non-coached time on the court but since summer's over, join a club and take some lessons this winter. Recreational players always underestimate the benefits of a coach. A good coach may cost you, but in the long run it pays off.
