fila and adidas are not the same company ,so i cant imagine what kind of conseqences there will be for breech of contract for him. Maybe adidas promised him that if fila drops him, in addition to what adidas already paid, they will become his sponser.

Maybe he was just getting free product from FILA, plus a weak incentive plan.

Guess he kept going with the FILA shoes (not so good IMHO, but he dug them), and adidas offered him cash for the guaranteed exposure today, and he just did not feel like switching shoes in the middle of a tournament. They probably sweetened the pot with a one year deal or something.....with a clause to switch to their shoes soon. Clearly an offer he could not refuse.

I'm sure he wouldn't want to break in a brand new pair of Adidas shoes in the semis of a slam. It'll be interesting to see what he wears in his next tournament. Hard to turn down $$$ just to wear some clothes.

Yeah, give me enough cash and I'll play tennis in Ronald McDonald's shoes.

Hmm, changing to adidas,... that explains why he looked so tired. ;)
I wouldn't make such a change while being on a hot streak. :)
