Now that Agassi is retired who is going to be the next major endorser for the Head line?

It was meant to be a poll

Steffi Graf has been endorsing lately.

Head racquets are very popular in France, aren't they?

Tennis Man

Well, usually it's someone who has an international appeal like the recent endorsements:

Roger Federer (lifetime contract with Wilson)
Andy Roddick/Rafael Nadal (Babolat)
Nick Davydenko (Prince)
and so on ...

They can get Ferrero to say that even though he's using his Prince again, he very much enjoyed the Radical Tour when he was using it.

totally missed Gasquet. Thanks. I think he should switch to FX Radical. It play way better than Instinct, do you think?

Bogie

no, he's not going to be switching for a while given his success with the instinct. with pros its not as much that the racquet feels better as it is what they are used to. its not very easy to switch from a racquet that you have been using for such a long time racquet and take the time to get accustomed to the latest stick while jeopardizing your ranking, $, and success. so no, gasquet is going to stick with the instinct tour xl for quite some time i think.

no..........its actually the opposite. he very much disliked the radical tour, to the point that he switched back to the prince graphite longbody without head knowing about it, thus voiding his contract with head and now because of that he does not have a racquet sponsor. head wanted to keep him, but he said that he couldn't play with their racquets, as they played nothing like the longbody that he grew up playing with, so he switched back and broke his contract.

plus why are ferrero and blake on the poll?!?!?!? ferrero hasn't been sponsored by head for quite some time now and blake never was.

I just thought maybe it's all about a right amount of money. After all Heads are good racquets and Agassi left a great legacy with it.

Gasquet, murray doesnt have the ideal spokesman image.

Bogie

well blake just left dunlop for prince along with a huge sum of money so i really doubt that head is going to give him any more than the ton that prince did. and jcf left head without even letting them know so i doubt that they would want him back after his actions.

Not yet they don't, is called marketing and someone is going to become a big star no matter what.

Safin, Gasquet, and Murray are all good pros that are going to be doing big things next year. And those are 3 guys that can apeal to the whole world, not all but each has their own nitch thus together they will have a great marketing plan.

I guarantee they spin Murray as more of an america than a Brit or Scott.

Oh another good point, Monfils has a great chance to be huge! But have you ever seen him play, I am scratching my head wondering how he made it this far.

Now if Gael grows some balls, then you will have one bad mo-fo!

The answer is yes. It is only a matter of time now.

I think Blake would have the most appeal in the US, I think. Pretty good player, handsome, and by most accounts a nice guy. Murray doesn't seem like he'll ever be really popular. Gasquet would be best for people in the know, but then again, people in the know aren't TOO influenced by marketing anyway, right? Safin has the charisma and looks but not the results lately.

And you've got to be kidding about Davydenko being a great Prince spokesman. Ask your average dude on the street about him and their response will most likely be "....who?"

There have been whispers going around that HEAD is desperately pursuing none other than Rafael Nadal. They are reportedly offering him a yearly sum of close to 4 million USD.

Wow, makes a lot of sense. APD sucks anyway.

What head wants is someone to put there face on the wall-mart racquet. They want someone who is popular and who your "normal" fan knows. Right now head has no one like that. Now that AA is gone they need someone like Rafa that everyone knows. Like how Wilson has Fed and they name all the junior racquets after him like what head dose with AA. Just think of the Head "Safin Junior" or "Murray Titanium". Also Murray may be the future but he is a jerk and he looks terrible. Plus Head sells a lot of those player named racquets in the US so I would think that they are banking on Donald Young to pull through.

Hahaha, I couldn't have said it better. BTW, Safin can be a jerk, too altho I like him a lot.

Safin, Gasquet, and Murray. The thing is they need to get some PJ's of newer sticks
