pardon my stupidity, but what is lead tape and where on the racquet does it go? I always hear people talk about adding weight with lead tape but I'm not sure what they're talknig about. Thanks.

Yes but where does it go? Is this a type of overgrip?

you use lead tape to customize the weight and balance of your racquet. there should be a link somewhere on the TW home page to a lead tape tutorial. or you can do a search for it - should be pretty easy to find.

I just applied some lead tape to my racket, well I put 2 strips overlapped, is that okay?

Is adding 18 grams of lead tape to a racquet considered a lot?

not really, I used to have nearly 50g on mine, but i whittled it down to around 36g.
