View Full Version : ASO is better than the Kallasy brace

Just wanted to say that. I'd twisted my ankle a couple times earlier this year, and after some research, bought the Kallassy brace. Why not ASO you ask? - mostly because they both seemed to have good reviews and ASO cost more!
It felt good, but then I saw 2 of my friends wearing ASO and finally ordered one, since my ankle still is not 100%. Its much more solidly built and the closure system is also better. Another advantage is it will fit both feet. Only used it twice so far but I can feel the difference in support.
I've used the Kallassy ever since I tore ligaments in my ankle 10 years ago. Worked like a charm then and still does. No reason to change to another model.

I tried Kallassy, Donjoy RocketSock and ASO. ASO is the best IMO.

ASO system seems to be the best to me too. I've not looked back and can play with confidence and commitment. You're foot is still just as strong as without the brace (wearing a brace does not make your foot weaker). And the brace has prevented some accidents already. When I don't wear one is when I'm prone to do the same injury. I have one ankle that, after many years, is always the one I'm going to go over on. Perhaps it's technique when sliding, perhaps jsut a weakness. Either way the brace has been a godesend.
Hmmm...with these rave reviews of the ASO, I may have to give it a try...you tend to get set in your ways when using one product for so many years. I'll check it out. Thanks, gents.
