I don't have my Ti-80s strung at the moment and they've had their factory grips replaced with leather, but unstrung, they're about 11.4 oz. By the time they do get strung, I wouldn't be surprised if they're hovering around 12 oz.

Of course, my grip size is 3/8, and I think that on some older models (like the Ti-80), the weight changes in accordance with grip size. The bigger you go, the heavier it is. There's supposed to be a large shift from weight going from grip size 3/8 to size 1/2 (from UL to SL).

i have an rd ti-80 with a 1/4 grip. on the company's site, it actually states that certain grip sizes have a lower/higher swingweight than others. the 1/8-3/8s has the 315 swingweight, while anything higher than that has a swingweight of like 325+

oh..you were talking about strung weight

i agree with you guys that without string, the ti-80 is really light (11.0+) but when it is strung, it weights 12 ounces, but when you swing it, it doesn't feel that hefty, but after LONG matches, like a 5 setter, that 12 ounces really makes itself known...at least for me.

My 2005 Ti-80 with 4 5/8" grip and one gamma overgrip is 12.8 oz. I agree with post #5 that it has a higher SW than TW lists.

If you have a 1/2 or 5/8 grip, chances are the frame will weigh from 11.9 - 12.5 ounces strung (without dampeners, lead, overgrip, etc.).
Smaller grip sizes will run between 11.0 - 11.8 ounces.
Big difference, depending on whether you have a UL or SL frame.

I've got the SL version. At first, I thought it was too heavy (after playing all summer with a m-fil 200+ 2006) but I think I'm starting to adjust. The extra weight is so much nicer.

Don't bother with 1-800-44YONEX....I've asked them about this a few times and the guy who answered the phone had no idea what I was talking about.
