Does your string fray before breaking? There is always no sign of fraying when my strings snap. They are just very thin. Multis probably fray more.

Yea my mulits have always frayed before breaking. Babolat Xcel Premium probably did this the most

It depends on the string. Sometimes a good solid miss hit is all you need to snap a set of strings.

What strings are you using?

I use gosen og sheep or a hybrid of og sheep and poly polar. This thread is just a general question. I am NOT trying to know if it is weird if my strings don't fray before snapping.

My multis generally haven't and my natural gut has (the uncoated stuff). This was in a 16x18 90". Now that I'm using a 90" 18x20, I expect to see fraying before breakage.
