Here are my ideal racquet specs, or close to them, but I'm not sure if such a racquet exists. i would appreciate any suggestions to something that matches or that is close -

- 98-100 sq in
- 11.8-12 oz (preferalbly with leather grip)
- no more head light that 6 pts (preferalby with a leather grip)
- 20mm beam or less

These are vital attributes that I love but havent found in one racquet yet. Any ideas?

Thanks

Unfortunately you rarely find a racquet that fits your needs right off the shelf, there are a multitude of racquets that you could customize easily to fit those needs.

Buy a smaller gripsize Yonex U. Ti-80, replace the grip, then put lead in the hoop.

Great call, that is what I use, but I find the head to be too light, and if I add weight the racquet becomes overall too heavy for my liking.

Ok, where should I start though. The main problem is finding a racquet with a beam of 20mm or less that is customizable to my needs and still 98-100 sq in.

Dunlop 200G 95 (http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageRCDUNLOP-D200G.html), maybe? I switched from the 200G 95 to the Pure control. Another idea I considered was the 300G M-Fil (http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageRCDUNLOP-D300.html), but weighted up to about 12 ounces. It's light enough that you could get the balance pretty much anywhere you wanted and stay within that weight.

Neither are exact to your specs - the 200G is only 95 si, teh 300G is a 21mm beam (and initially way too light). But both are nice sticks. If you like the Pure Control, I'd give the 200G or M-Fil200 a shot.

play well,
Andrew

Dunlop M-Fil 200 Racquets 2006 sounds like a good way to go. It has a low starting weight (but not to low) and a low swing weight. So when adding weight to this racquet the swing weight wont get out of control.

Aeropro control, but it might be a few ounces short of what your looking for.

try the code 3211 07 on vantagetennis.com the custom rackets... i think that comes close to what your looking for. and i think the specs are the unstrung ones for weight and balance.

not many racquets havea 20mm beam or less, the lm prestige, ncode 90, pk redondo mid do, but they dont meet your specs.

Have you ever hit with a racket with these specs? If so, find another one and buy it. If not, how do you know those are such admired specs?

Because these are the attributes I love about all the racquets I have tried, but I cant find them together. These might not be the holy grail of specs, but It's worth a shot, so take it easy.

Dunlop M-Fil 200 Racquets 2006. Need to replace the grip and adjust balance.

PK Redondo MP. Everything except balance

Tecnifibre TFight 320, you can replace the grip and then around 6 grams in hoop to bring it to 6 pt head light

Fischer M Speed Pro No 1 98. Replace grip with Leather, should be quite close for balance and weight except beam

Volkl DNX9 - instead of 20 mm you will get 21 mm beam, rest everything as per your specs.

Prostaff 6.0 MP also very close.

According to the Racquet Finder at TW, the closest matches are:

Babolat AeroPro Control
Babolat Pure Control
Head Flexpoint Prestige Midplus
Head Flexpoint Radical Tour
Volkl DNX 10
Volkl Tour 10 V-Engine Midplus
Yonex MP-Tour 1

You might have to replace the grips with a leather one.
