You are usually correct, but not this time cc.
:(

Anyway, Isner will win the whole thing anyway. He’s developed a certain swag about him after that Miami win.

We'll see.

As for Isner, winning Miami isn't the same as winning a slam. I'll believe Isner will win the title only when I see it.

Anderson had no experience beating anyone big and he just took down the mighty Fed so how can you say Joco doesn't have the mental toughness he has the history of being a 12 time majorhe has th Anderson had none of that

I don't think it will be enough, you'll see. The most important intangible for these ATG players is mental toughness/match toughness and Djokovic doesn't have that at the moment. He hasn't won enough matches against top players for him to be able to topple the world #1 unless Nadal really craps the bed or is really feeling it physically from his match vs Del Potro or is injured. I think Djokovic needs some more time to get where he needs to be to beat the raging bull.
I suspect you may be right.

I almost forgot what Djokovic-Nadal fan wars were like. I'm ready for it to resume.

Djokovic takes it in 4. Game wise a 90 % djokovic is good enough to beat any nadal except for clay. Mental wise Nadal is strong until he sees djokovic on the other side of the net.

Nadal had to go 5 with delpo. In all delpo can do is slice a backhand or run around and hit all forehands

I think Nadal will have another game plan for Djoko but it is true that he won't be able to exploit Djokovic like he did with Del Po. Nadals success today was taking control of the rallies by going to Del Pos BH wich is very soft and not a shot that can change the momentum of a rally, and also drop shots is something he won't be able to abuse against Djokovic, wich was a winning tactic for Nadal today. Still he had to dig really deep to take the match here.

Djokovic bh and fh are solid again. Movement is also on point. 70/30 In favor of Djokovic.
I tend to go by recent results. it could go djokovics way tho. However this rivalries results is usually decided who has the upper hand momentum and better form. Nadal has been at the top while djokovic has been trying to get there. Hopefully this is the match that switches the momentum.

I'm watching replay of the matches and how often does it appear out by the naked eye and replay however Hawkeye says it just ticked the line
I feel Hawkeye calls balls that are out as in. It never calls balls that appear to be in as being out

The way Rafa #1 is playing now, Nole has no chance! Three straight!

He was quite insightful. Especially since he's played those guys and understands their mentality and style better than anyone else at the booth.

He's insightful but his delivery totally sucks for someone who chooses to announce on TV. Work on the monotone.

I still like Andy way better than Mac.

I don't know. I liked the way that Murray doesn't talk too much. I prefer to soak up the atmosphere of the match instead of idiots always barking like dogs every second and having nothing worth a damn to say. I'll take Murray over any of those other guys.

1) How long were the matches? I don't recall them being over 3,5 hours long.

2) Federer plays fast and the points were shorter

3) He had 2 days off before the final too.

4) Forgot about 2012 Olympics already? It's an almost identical situation for Nadal right now. A 5hour match against Del Potro before playing Djokovic. Federer had nothing left for Murray.

1 - The final was 3h 38m, sf was 3h 05m, 4r was 3h 25m so they were around that mark. But must also remember that HC is harder on the body vs grass. I can attest to this, I've played on the exact plexicushion HC they use at AO and in the heat it is quite taxing, grass not so much.

2 - Agreed, but the total time on court for a 35.5 yr old was 10h and he was still running around like a jack rabbit in that 5th set of the final.

3 - I know he did. I know all too well...

4 - I haven't forgot about the Olympics in 2012 at all. Fed had already won Wimbledon at the time and the accumulation of matches in a short amount of time would have made it harder to recover. Nadal has had a good break from RG till now. In fact this recent match v Del po is the only really taxing match he's had in a while.

Who do you think will win the SF and why?

Still awaiting for someone with a balanced verdict of who will win and why. Not a biased view.

I will give a like for anyone who can give me that. :p

So many Nole fans doubting what he is capable of in here. I'm really superstitious so I don't vote in polls like this and make predictions but you may be surprised Friday. Nadal had the 5 hour match and Djokovic has found his gears again, which can make for a compelling result. That's all I will say for now.

I really liked what I saw of Nadal in the Delpo match (disclaimer: only saw the highlights because it was already late, for me, when Delpo won the second set). He was often hitting from an almost Fed-like rally position and made net approaches that were more daring than usual. I am going to say that in spite of the match up issues he may have against Djokovic, I think he has a great chance to beat him. Unless Djokovic brings serious return pressure to bear on Nadal to rattle him.

I hear you. I have seen him falter so many times and he has lost the momentum against nadal. Terrible mistake give fedal an inch and they take a mile. Until i see him given that trophy on sunday then i will know he has that EMW mindset back. His raging and roaring and fighting and arguing are good signs. I do not think he will fold up against nadal. He seems pissed off.

I feel you. So a reverse jinx is sort of going on? I have done it before. I just wish for him to play the type of tennis he has been playing this tournament and let the chips fall where they may.

Nadal's matches against Novak have been about Nadal either being more aggressive at the right time or becoming tentative and dropping the ball short. When he drops the ball short, Djokovic gets in control. Either of them will have to play really well to win. If Nadal is mentally stable and doesn't get nervous at critical times then he can win.

I think jinxes are going on. Nole haterz are picking him. Listen if he starts ripping nadals serve to nadals shoe laces and on the base line deep, nadal is in big trouble. He can make nadal give up if he can do that. Redirect the ball nadal hates that and has no answers.

No they really want him to win to save Federer's Slam record. :D This is when Nole is forgotten as the enemy and instead an ally. There's no hidden agenda there and I've seen this script before. Nole's game is enough but his head is where he has to win this. I understand Novak fans being wary of that fact.

If you know how i pick matches i tend to base the pick on recent results. I try not to add emotional baggage to the mix. Nadal has been in the better place for nearly 2 years. Djokovic has to go out and prove it and take it.

LOL! This is where Federer fans now once again become Djokovic fans! But then again Nadal fans became Federer bandwagoners back in 2011 so I guess whatever! :D
