I think this match is going 5 sets. Medvedev is NOT giving up.
And Nadal CANNOT break.
I'm guessing Nadal about to get broken.

The match is over now. What a choke from Nadal. Was up a break, choked in the next game. Had a break point, did everything, and hit a smash into the net. What a choke...I will never forgive him that. Now he will drop serve, then pure stamina will not let him get back into the match. Medvedev is 10 years younger...

Check back with me after the AO, but I think Med has a game that can be figured out and beat when aggressive. He relies on defense to win, and I think he will fade here in the near future. I definitely could be wrong, but his game needs some pop to it.

Well his results this USO hardcourt series were not by mistake. He played some good tennis this season. Yes he relies on defense but he has offense as well, and served out of his mind against Djokovic in Cincy. I don't think he likes slices and high balls like Nadal is feeding him because it throws off his timing. He hits a solid flat ball which is somewhat hard to attack for a lot of players.

Med could've easily rolled over this set like a lot have done against Rafa when they're 2 sets to 0 down but he's putting in the punches, fair play to the lad.

I think Med is here to stay. Nice variety, power & adaptability. Nadal gives everyone problems. Hold your head up.

Guys, Nadal is DEFINITELY losing this match now...Omfg, what a choke.............

The biggest choke in slam finals history...

How does it feel to be watching the greatest choke in Slam finals history?
And the fact that Nadal is the protagonist?
Will he ever recover from this?

Interesting that his chance to get #19 could become the trauma that will prevent him from ever winning #19.
What do you think about this?
Will you remember this date forever?
Will it haunt your dreams?

Nadal holds...If only he could hold that serve at 3-2, or convert the break point in the previous game...He would have won. Now it's just too late.
