I guess if you're talking about his lost to PHM today, Mathieu's really been playing great lately, and Gonzalez hasn't been playing much. Maybe he's just out of form, but after AO, he's started to revert back to his old way of playing instead of the way he played to get to the finals.

on this board, players go from being awful to great, back to awful, back to great, depending on their latest results. kinda of funny how if someone doesn't go on to be as dominant as federer immediately after a breakthrough win, they are "overhyped"?
in fact IMO, no tennis player in the top 100 in the world is overhyped. you are a world-class athlete who gets to play professional tennis full-time by defeating other elite athletes and distinguishing yourself from the 100s of thousands of pro tennis player wanna-bees all over the world.

it´s stupid this topic. Fernando IS STILL THERE because other players aren´t better than him. He is a great tennis player and he deserves to be a top 10. Tell me do you think Robredo or Blake, even Ljubicic should be top 10?? They haven´t done anything important for a long time, so then nobody deserves to be top 10, just Federer, Nadal and maybe Djokovic?? . So please shut up please shut up!!!

I didn't change my mind.. even during the AO my opinion of Gonzalez was that he is not that good. So my opinion of Gonzalez didn't go from being awful to great, back to awful, back to great, depending on his latest results. My opinion of him is pretty much the same.
But a lot of people were talking how Gonzalez was going to be the numer 3 in the world and how he would challenge Federer and Nadal and how he would be a dominate factor on the tour. And yes, that is overhyping a person.
You cannot say in general that no player in the top 100 is overhyped. They all deserve respect for being in the top100, but players can be overhyped. It depends on what is said about the tennisplayer.

How is that proving me wrong? Didn't the other tournaments he played this proved I'm right.. I think so.
I never siad that the guy is really bad or something, he will have his oocasional succes, but he's not that good as many people want to believe, his backhand side is just not good enough.
