Whoa just saw the news. First no Roger, now no tennis at all ...

same thing really....First no Roger, now no tennis at all ...
Nah, I love Roger and admittedly watch less tennis when he's not playing, but tennis is bigger than any one player and there are many good stories currently playing out in the sport. Ler's hope RG & Wimbledon are not victims of this virus, but it's not looking so good atm ...same thing really....
Many assume Laver Cup ends when Fed retires. Nobody's spending $250 for one lousy seat to watch Thiem play Medvedev or Cilic play Kyle Edmund.
He's said repeatedly he's has no interest to play doubles after his retirement from singles, so....He can still play doubles for a long time, so ...

IW and Miami yielded him 1600 points last year. Clay season netted him another 1080 points. Now it looks like Federer won't miss anything
But everyone will bleed points anyway.IW and Miami yielded him 1600 points last year. Clay season netted him another 1080 points.
But at the moment, ranking points seem irrelevant.
I somehow don't think that'll happen. RG 1 week after US Open, with no clay warmups?!? It just seems like madness.Laver Cup now in ruins. Roland Garros just ran over it.
Welp...
Loved this
Just thinking the same thing!Been a long time since this thread was on the first page, glad to have it back.
The racket change in 2013/14 really compromised both his FH and slice, but especially the slice. Roger's slice now just sorta sits up instead of staying at ankle level.Absolutely sick slicing here at 3:00. Look at how vicious his slice was. Definitely haven't seen that in years.
Maybe, but if he can boss Nadal in a semi-blazed state, just imagine the savagery when he's on point!Roger looking stoned. Big bong before he logged on.

He's fine and he has been practicing, and it's smoke and mirrors from his camp. Sev said on SRF TV three days ago:Hearing some possibly click-bait reports that Fed’s recovery is still ongoing and not as far along as hoped.
Anyone hearing anything reliable lately about how he’s doing?
He's fine and he has been practicing, and it's smoke and mirrors from his camp. Sev said on SRF TV three days ago:
“Roger didn't recover as fast as we expected…There were two weeks where his progress was slower, it was a little complicated, but now everything has accelerated.”
So his remark was about March and early April, not now. In 2016 when he had his first meniscus intervention, he was back hitting balls in 3 weeks. This time it was 5 weeks, no big deal at all.

Well I'd like to ask again where it said those 2 weeks were in March & April. Because I still can't find anything that says that. He's fine and he has been practicing, and it's smoke and mirrors from his camp. Sev said on SRF TV three days ago:

Regardless, for a almost 40 year old man, this concerns me.Well I'd like to ask again where it said those 2 weeks were in March & April. Because I still can't find anything that says that.
It was in the Basler Zeitung which is behind a pay wall. But the Sev quote is verbatim what he said. There have been multiple pics of him hitting indoors the past month in any case. When he says he's not training, he's being disingenuous at best.Well I'd like to ask again where it said those 2 weeks were in March & April. Because I still can't find anything that says that.
Have to think Fed is also thinking it is a bad look to be showing videos of him practicing and talking about it considering many players don't have that ability. Even Djoker alluded to that himself. It was in the Basler Zeitung which is behind a pay wall. But the Sev quote is verbatim what he said.
