I think Nadal has to be the favorite considering he has shown he is the greatest player in the history of the game on clay, and has dominated Federer. However, if anyone can beat him it is Federer, but Federer has to modify his game for the surface and hasn't shown a willingness to do so. I give Fed a 40-60 chance and Nadal a 70-30 chance of winning. Nadal may decide to take an extended rest an go out early in this before he gets to Federer so that he will be fresh for the French, but I don't think his ego will let that happen. A win for Rafa over my favorite player (Federer) in 3 sets.

And Baghdatis succeeded in completing the self destruction with a double fault. 5-7 3-6 to Kohlschreiber.

Baghdatis will have more luck in the Sumo wrestling area with all the weight he has. He was always in defensive mode against Kohlschreiber and sometimes he didn't even try to move to retreive the ball.

With this weight he will drop out of the top 30 before August.

Baghdatis has been a non-factor when it comes to tennis. I am dissapointed because i feel he has talent. All he cares about is canoodling with females which is not bad, lmao

How is that possible?

He barely made unforced errors in Miami and IW.
He's not a retriever, on clay. He's more of an attacker. It's like Coria. Coria played much more attacking tennis on clay than on faster surfaces. Don'0t really know why.

He tried to blast forehands all day today... Made it only in 17 times. Missed in the other 40

That's very strange as retrieving could work better on clay than hard courts.

I think the most dangerous opponent for Federer in his quarter of the draw could be Hrbaty. He is the kind of player that can bother Federer, not Ferrero, Safin, Soderling...on clay. Also, Hrbaty has a 2-0 record against Federer (but their meetings were in 2000 and 2004). At least he will be confident and not afraid to play against him. Let´s see who is the qualifier to play against Hrbaty.

Actually, Hrbaty's 2 wins over Federer were on indoor carpet and fast hard courts.
Hrbaty hits flat which can be some problem on fast courts.

Everyone thinks Federer is a fast court player but he actually
has been doing much better on clay than on indoor carpet, especially
at Hamburg, one of the slowest court on earth.

Has Monaco got a chance to beat Federer in Hamburg? What do you guys think?
Is Federer going to play divine tennis and crush him or is he going to be down because of all his losses and lose?

Don't think so, Monaco has nothing to hurt Federer on any surface. Volandri played attacking style tennis and Canas/Nadal are fast and hit heavy balls. Fed should take this is straights.

I see someone else joined your prestigious ignore list :D
About Fed-Monaco, Fed should win in straights but if he plays like he did against Volandri and considering that this clay is slower than Rome, then Monaco could have a chance.

Hmmmm Ferrero vs Safin should be interesting.....and also Nadal could face Andreev in round 3,he was the last to beat him on clay

Only the posters really worthy of the list will join  :p

I think Federer is going to win but I can't say that I am sure 100% about it after his last unexpected defeats.

I can't believe a last year RG semifinalist is ommited from the draw :-D :-D

Till that terrible mistake is fixed in the next clay court event poll I vote for Djokovic. Nadal or no Nadal.

Hmmm yes Ljubicic is not in the poll and he is the most important player not to be included in the poll since Nalbandian is not playing again.

Murray looks like he has a problem in his wrist

He's up 5-1 and serving but right now he fell down in the court from the wrist pain. The physio is tying it but from what it looks he won't be able to keep on playing like that.

Well now he's up and running and he won the point too. 30 all.

No he's in pain again and he looks like he is going to retire.

And Murray retires while 5-1 ahead in the 1st set. Bad luck for the guy. He is furious now and Brad is shaking his head.

Grrrrrrr Andy Murray playing amazingly against Volandri about to serve for the set at 5-1 and he's hurt his wrist and had to retire:( Its his 20th birthday aswell and he even said to the trainers 'I'm playing the match of my life'.......its a shame,he was so gonna win!:(
