i like ! :p

at the french, novak was chating with the cameraman in the locker-room and asked him whom he was following (with his camera) at that moment...
the cameraman said that he was trying to catch nadal, and djokovic imitated him like when he is running hystericaly in the locker room ! :D

EDIT
bad quality but you can see it there ! (3:15)

In Roland Garros, Djokovic was in desperate need of attention. If the camera attention he received wasn't enough, he had to jump in front of the camera when other players were being filmed.

The guy is young so hopefully, he'll grow out of the attention grabbing act.

Man, all those were awesome. The Hewitt one is my favorite, but he forgot to fiddle with his racquet strings. He would've had it perfect.

eheh... he can also imitate the aces when he makes goran or pete ? ;)

no imitation of edberg, becker or mcenroe yet ?...
(or maybe he's too young !)

Bjorkman is the reigning champion of imitating those guys. I saw him do them on a feature several years ago.

Now Nadal has to go do a Djokovic impression...Bounce the ball about 47 times before serving and then call for a medical timeout on the 48th bounce.

Did you ever notice how much the English and the French dislike Nadal? Seriously, they're always making fun of him. Maybe they are frustrated with the lack of their own successful players?

Djoko doesn't dislike Nadal, he was just doing it for laughs.

I agree I don´t take it in any bad way. He´s just having fun. I do agree that´s he´s hungry for attention as well. He seems to do anything to be in front of the camera. But one thing I noticed is that he made impressions of Grand Slam champions. I still need his Roddick & Safin impersonation.

i know a good few french people who like nadal

Me too. I know the haters want people to think all French hate Nadal but not so. Everybody has their favorite, not everyone is a Fedfan. Thank God.

Oh, I know I thought it was pretty frickin funny too, Djokovic is hilarious. I'm just saying the way the English and French media always poke fun at Nadal. Besides this video, I also saw some interview with gasquet were someone made a joke about Nadal on steroids and everyone laughed, well except for Gasquet. To me it just seems like they are jealous of his success so far compared to their own young players. Besides, Nadal is a good guy they should just leave him alone and let the players have the laughs.

I really like all the young players including Nadal, Gasquet, Djokovic and Murray. I just think the media should leave the joking around to the Djokster himself.

Wtf?

The English people love Nadal!

If you were to ask all the fans who come out the woodwork when it's Wimbledon they would all pick Nadal over Federer, they love the guy so I would get your facts straight first if I were you.

That was a Serian doing an impression of Nadal (amongst others) and the BBC showed it, does that mean the English hate Sampras, Ivanisevic, Sharapova, Hewitt aswell?

What an absolutely ridiculous post. Might I ask from what information you have come to the conclusion that we hate Nadal? I've seen no bad media about Nadal EVER over here, totally the opposite in fact.

That was awesome. And deserved. I like the way Rafa plays. I really do. But the butt-picking needs to stop. There's a difference between a bad habit and disgusting people around the world.

Hear that? That's the sound of me becoming a Novak fan. Somebody's gotta take over the serve imitation torch from Bjorkman.

hahahhaha the nalbandian impersonation cracked me up. Afterwards, he says "He's going to kill me. He's going to kill me for this. I'm sorry. It was a joke." lol

I didn't really like Djokovic a year ago, but I'm starting to like him.

Thing is, this sort of light-hearted humor is usually performed by guys much lower doen the ATP rankings.
As it is, Djokovic is #4, and therefore your post is 100% irrelevant...so please...get over yourself.

His Roddick impression is great too. Some day he may pick on the wrong guy. I don't know if Marat would find it too funny if Djok impersonated him. Or Safin may be the kind of guy you just don't impersonate.

Nadal is very popular over here and the commentators think he is great - also it's lovely to see him on the green, green grass of home - have not heard one unpleasant word from anyone in the media since he arrived - only great praise

Djokovic rocks. I think he is the most fun of players by far.
Last year, whenever I saw him at Croatia Open he was making jokes. Either with tourists that wanted to take pictures with him, or when we were having a rehersal of the trophy ceremony the day before finals and he walked on court, took the big trophy and started walking away with it. It was hilarious :)

I think Djoker would get Safinized in the face if he made fun of Marat.

uh.. what?

I don't know man, from what I've seen you guys seem extremely insecure about your own players even if it is just joking around. Especially when you see Nadal's guns with his sleeveless shirt's compared to Murray or Henman. But, then again the English media isn't all that bad. They are still on the light side of joking around. It's the French I think take it too far, with their steroid allegations and such.

Wow, I don't know why I'm defending Nadal so much. I hope I'm not coming off as a Nadal freak or something.

You don't have to be so confrontational to make a point, do you? Just disagree with me without the silly "get over yourself". Why is it so hard for many on this board to disagree with what's written down without attacking another poster for no good reason?

1) Djokovic said in an interview on French tv during Roland Garros that nearly all the attention was going to either Federer or Nadal. He said that he understood it but it was still annoying.
2) I don't know if you've seen much footage in the locker room. I've seen it on two French tv networks. Just about everytime the camera was filming and Djokovic was there, he jumped in front of the camera.
Davydenko doesn't usually get that much attention but the French tv was filming him at one point but noooo, Novak had to jump in front of the camera and take over.

But, Djokovic is very young and this is harmless fun, I agree with that. It seems to be part of his nature, to be a bit daft like that. However, I would like him to grow out of the attention seeking behavior in time.

thats awesome

I think it is awesome that a pro tennis player is himself, and out going yet gets great results on the court. It is players like him that would draw people to tennis.

OOOOOOh..he dared to make fun of your favourite? Though, I'm sure Rafa himself has a better sense of humor than his "freaks".
He still lost though. I'll bet he thought he outplayed Rafa again. ;) I don't understand why anyone likes this arrogant guy. I hope he doesn't get any better. He'll make Roger look humble.

I agree about Bjorkman, he is the best in recent memory.

Not a hard thing to do.
The term "humor" is lost on the likes of you, seriously.

Anyone have any video/links to Bjorkman imitating Mcenroe or others? He does it the best but it has been years since I've seen a clip of it.

Here, here! I don't find him amusing at all. With better results, we'll have a monster on our hands for sure. It appears harmless, but I don't think so. Too greedy for the spotlight! Not a good sign!

I think that he is too much and fake. He just need people's atention on him because they only talk about Nadal as a youngster who accomplished alot and not him.
