Paris-Bercy’18 was played out in reverse order with KK/AZ in the QF and KK/ND in the final (Thiem SF in between.) That would mean they both beat ND in finals in back to back tournaments that year.2-2 in the H2H, but Khachanov won the last 2 in pretty convincing fashing. However, I do trust Zverev much more in these kind of big finals.
I just wish I knew of a way to watch the match live!!!!It's nice to actually be interested in this now
Would the last big final featuring two unexpected finalists be USO’14?
The final is on Sunday, so I expect both to be fresh. Khachanov easily beating Carreño really surprised me, though.Paris-Bercy’18 was played out in reverse order with KK/AZ in the QF and KK/ND in the final (Thiem SF in between.) I don’t think Khachanov can replicate the straight set path through those three Bercy matches. He will be fresher though after dusting Busta in 90 minutes. He will need that fresher tank if my expectations for a cracker of a match happens.
That was Murray's peak year whose last tournament before the Olympics was the Wimbledon title, and also reached his seed round.No. Olympics 2016.
That was brutal scheduling before giving a day off in between SFs and the medal matches. Olympics are weird! The final is on Sunday, so I expect both to be fresh. Khachanov easily beating Carreño really surprised me, though.
Murray was defending champion. That was not a totally unexpected result.No. Olympics 2016.
And 3 Bronze medal match are tomorrow... Men's singles, Women's doubles and Mixed doubles. That was brutal scheduling before giving a day off in between SFs and the medal matches. Olympics are weird!
No. Olympics 2016.
Couldn't have said it betterThe winner is tennis
Bo3; kind of surprised me as well yesterday when I read about it.Is the Olympic final still Bo5, or did they revert to Bo3?

It’s all on Zverev today. If he serves well, I can’t see Khachanov winning this. If he has the yips, it’s game over.
True, but Khachanov doesn’t have the serve yipsHey, that could be said for Khacharen as well. Serve big, FH big.
Yeah you make a good point about the yips though. Is it any coincidence that the second Djokovic’s serve started to faulter and Zverev got break points, Zverev’s own service games improved? With him if he feels he can get into the opponent’s service games it puts less pressure on himself to hold.True, but Khachanov doesn’t have the serve yips
