If I swap out the Wilson Pro Performance (stock grip) for Wilson Leather, it adds 4-5 grams. I'm a grip size 4 1/2. I use almost all of the Leather grip, trim the end slightly

That’s weird. The paint looks the same. I thought the pro was glossy amd the standard was different ?blade pro vs blade
lol the evening sun brings out the great color in both, but the BP is glossy. Although not glossy, the regular v8 still has a nice pj that imo is much better than the dull regular v7.

Man when I see the V8's in that lighting I really wish I'd held off getting the V7 Pro earlier this year. Paint job is a million times nicer.
Really? I’m undecided but I know lots of people love the v7 blade pro. I’m wondering what the Ultra Pro v4 will look like. If it’s like this from a dark gray to blue I wouldn’t be sad
yeah i can understand people liking the v7bp. The glossiness stands out more on the black racquet plus the Blade lettering on the side has an iridescent look to it.
Hit for the 3rd or 4th time with the 18x20 BP and really gelling with it now especially on forehands. Backhand slice is still nasty. Confidently hitting extreme angles on groundstrokes. Switched to my 2nd BP towards the end of the hitting session to serve a little (this one is matched but all poly - 4g as opposed to hybrid gut/4g in my first one). I may be more excited about the all poly actually . Was getting amazing feel. I think for these Blade Pros 'addicting' is the best way to describe them.

The V8 Blade Pro and all grommets are missing since the last site update. They should be back soon
If you type in blade pro in the search it'll come up. L2 and L3 are sold out though for 16m.
Picked one up last week before it was taken off the pro labs page. It came in right on spec.

Don't know, going to get the v8 strung today so I'll report back. The fact that its unstrung specs are close to my three v7 BPs gives me hope.

Thanks. 339sw would be max for me. Will be interesting to see if these come out anymore consistent that the V7's once more people start to buy and measure
yeah, the bp is probably not for you as they tend to have higher swingweights. The babolat pd with lower sw but higher stiffness to make up for it sounds like what you like. The regular v8 blades do have a lower sw if still interested in a blade or maybe even a blade 100.

Thanks. I have a BP 16/19 v7 with SW339. I was comparing to the UP 16/19. Enjoyed both, but I wanted a matching pair so I could settle into either. I ordered a 2nd of each, unstrung the BP came at 320SW (likely 10SW more than my 1st) and the UP came in almost identical to my 1st. Both are good sticks, different in some ways - but my decision on what to put in play was unfortunately made by Wilson QC .TBH I found the UP more consistent across all areas. I loved the power of the BP but for me control was lacking. If I were to try the BP v8, I would try the 18/20 - but it just feels like a gamble with QC. Id want a matching pair between 335-340SW max (strung)
JGads has a Blade Pro with 339SW, 16M in the europe sales section…

Hello, received three new BP 16/19 V8 via two different shipments.
Not sure if I have been lucky or not... they all weight exactly the same 309 g. static (using a +/- 0.1 g scale) and with exactly the same 32.4 cm balance. I guess I will need to find a way to measure the SW to tell... but even with heavier static weight than the specs the balance is spot on... so I do not expect a very high SW. Would be interested in your comments !

Also can't find grommets for BP 16x19 on the German site.
Wilson has no grommets on their site right now - like the listings disappeared along with shoes.
I was told they're upgrading their site, weeks ago, and to check back 'this week'. Still no updates.

The big W buttcap is on the bottom and the handle hasn’t changed.

It blows my mind that Wilson knows it’s a niche crowd that cares about these frames which means they would want matched rackets.. yet dont offer that.
I sent wilson a message about matching and that’s what they told me to do. Buy 5 and pick the two closest and send the rest back.

Not great for those overseas either, who use a forwarder. I have to try and sell off the ones I don't want (usually at a disc.) and eat the shipping/customs costs. Expensive process, when Wilson could just ensure they're in a specific g/sw/bal range

They could get some Wilson intern to match the rackets. I agree that the quality control is so poor, especially when getting a “prostock racket” which it is not.
