Does nobody remember that Roddick beat Federer on hardcourt at Kooyong just before the AusOpen?
Does nobody remember that Federer beat Nadal on clay at Hamburg just before RG?
Does nobody remember that Roddick won Queens just before Wimbledon? With Nadal defeated in the first week and Fed not even playing?
Djoko best on hardcourts ... bwahaha. I'm sure he will be one day, but it isn't today.
I'm well aware Kooyong was an exhibition event, but Roddick somehow thought he had an edge on Federer from that match.
I admit my error with Nadal and Queens. I got a little carried away after seeing the thread title.
Djokovic has def. come a long way. I remember at the AusOpen he proclaimed Fed was going down, only to have Roger squash him like a bug. Now he controls his mouth a lot better and lets his game do the talking.
Djoko will find it a lot tougher beating Fed or Nadal at the USO in a best of 5.
Djokovic is 20 while Federer is 26. It is a joke to compare to slams and stuff as Djokovic is just starting while Fed is on his way out soon.
A guy who don't discuss his opinion and say others are retarted, is the real ********!You Are ********

please dont jump to conclusions....
grand slams won on hard court:
federer: 3
djokavic: 0
including rebound ace hardcourt of AO:
federer: 6
djokavic: 0
Djokovic is very good on hardcourts and maybe even the second best hardcourt player. But he is not the best on hardcourts. Federer is still the king on grass and hardcourts. Djokovic still has away to go.
his name is DjokOvic with an O ...you misspelled it way to many times
oh...i'm so sorry...djokovic, not djokavic...although its pronounced that way...
Its not , its DJO - ko- vic ..
alright daddy...whatever helps you sleep at night...djo-ko-vic...got it
Ignorance on these boards is rife:
Federer explained in a press conference that he served and volleyed the whole match against Roddick at Kooyong as he didn't want to screw up his groundstroke timing before the AO.
He's a very smart lad, as it turned out he didn't drop a set the whole tournament.
You guys need to start thinking like pros if you want to truly understand how Feds operates before you criticise him.
Djokovic knows this as well, as Federer in a Grand Slam is a whole different ball game.
Federer wouldn't risk injury or ruining his timing a week before a Grand Slam.
i like how novak wins a hardcourt event on a big stage, hes suddenly the king. who has the longest grass and hardcourt streaks? federer. who has more slams on hardcourts and masters series on clay? federer.
enough
Djokovic losing to a "clay specialist" (which I know he's not, excellent all court player) Carlos Moya on a fast hardcourt. How's the King of Hardcourt doing now after that 6-1 thrashing in the second set?

too early. so far Fed is still hard court king. Djokovic is 2nd. Nadal has improved on it, but probably is worse than a surging Djokovic.
what if tsonga wins the final this weekend? will Djokovic still be the 2nd best hard courter in the world?
Now that djokovic proved he is consistant and good, I would say even if tsonga wins, he would have to, at least imo, prove that he also can repeatedly beat the worlds best and become one of them. Rest of the season is here for him to do so.
fair enough. I personally believe that Nadal is the best clay courter, and federer is the second. I belive Federer is the best grass courter, and as much as I hate to say it, Nadal is the 2nd best. I think Federer is the best hard courter, and as of now, there is no second best on hard courts. I'm not sure that Djokovic could beat someone like blake, or Tsonga, someone who can really flatten out the ball and hit through the court.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that no one (other than Federer) has been truly dominant on hard courts. Plenty of players have had solid streaks and flashes of brilliance, but no has really stunned me as an incredible hard court player.
