Rod Laver is Bob Marley. Absolutely timeless. This guy drops in to todays tennis environment, give him a graphite composite and a couple of weeks of practise and move over everyone save the big three. This guy squeezed a ball six hours a day in his pocket DURING school. BORN TO BE folks. Can't interfere with those types.

Kan, we KNOT, just enjoy the genius of yesteryear and see how it RELATES to TWO day? Ashe was a genius, and Laver was well, just NADAL, all the way. NADAL, NADAL, Federer.... olay.

I don't know what a Reptialian is, I do know that you should lay off the substances before posting, especially posting 5 of the first 6 posts in your own thread....

The best match of all time? It was a four set match ending in a bagel.

Well the 1st 3 sets were called some of the best tennis ever by most observers at the time.

It was really a great comeback from Laver, Ashe was in the zone, hitting winners from everywhere in the 1st set. I've never seen so many clean winners hit from the baseline in a wood racquet match before (Borg-Mac included), the pace of shot was pretty impressive.

I'm sure there are some other great matches that ended in a bagel(the '77 USO F for one)
