Help me choose a racket PLEASE!!!

Hi. I'm a 4.5-5.0 rated player

I have been using the Head Extreme Pro
It hits long, and I am looking for a racket, with complete control

I am a heavy topspinner when on the baseline.
When I have a chance to get to the net, I usually go for touch and feel

Again, I'm looking for a racket that is underpowered (in a good way)
has pinpoint control
and a lot of spin

A few I've been looking at is the

Donnay 95
Yonex RDS 1 2008 Mid
Wilson K90
Volkl DNX 10 Mid

Which one would you say is the most underpowered?
With the most control?

this racket would suit you. not too much power, but amazing spin potential.

the k90 but the weight tires you out later on. you may want to try a tighter string pattern racket it may take away the spin but control is amazing on the prestige mid or maybe the kblade tour. the dunlop aerogel had good spin on it

the donnay is alright i feel like i can place the ball really well with the k90 and the flow through and spin is amazing killer kick serves

never hit with the pog mid but im sure it has some amazing spin to it because of that open string pattern. but i really love my k90 and im really excited about the sampras racket

IT hits long...or do YOU hit long...that is the question.

Anyways, maybe you should just try a different racquet. Hitting long doesn't always have to do with the racquets power. If you like the Microgel feel, try the MP extreme, and the radicals and prestiges as well.

I say try Microgel Prestige Pro. It has low power and I'm sure you won't hit long with it.

You gotta adjust because the racquet doesn't hit long, the user does.
With that logic, all racquets will hit long... or short at one point or another.

DNX 10 is nice but I actually found the DNX 9 to be better at the net for me and I can generate more spin on serves and groundstrokes. Give it a try if you have a chance.

Haven't used them all, but the Donnay is nicely underpowered and I can really swing away confidently with it from the baseline. I didn't completely take to it because I often go to net in singles/play some heavy doubles and like to hit a more penetrating volley than what I'd typically get with this racquet, even with lively strings. My blocked service returns were also routinely weak with this frame, too. Touch, feel, and control - all fantastic with the Donnay mp.

If you are a heavy topspinner and want a racquet with a lot of control which is similar to the Extreme Pro I would go with the Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex Plus. I don't think it's a good idea to all of a sudden switch from the Extreme Pro to a mid size frame, thats probably not a wise decision.

What does that mean??

I dont think its the racket thats hitting long, give your stick to a any decent player and they could easily adjust to it.

I used my friend's racket. the Yonex Mid, and another friend's K90. I dont have a problem with midsized frames. So I don't really worry about that. And your suggestion. Aeropro Drive Cortex. Doesnt that have a lot of power? especially since its a plus version?

You know, maybe it is just me. But when i play with lower powered rackets, I'm completely confident in everything I do. When I play with my Extreme Pro, I'm not too confident, and I sorta of just tap it over? (at times) And when i do have a chance to just smack the ball, the lack of control sometimes pushes it out. I know what I just said about the smacking the ball is just me, but I need a racket where I'll just be more confident with.

Maybe you're seeking a new racket for the 'honeymoon period'?? If you're racket is 13ounces anyway thats pretty heavy for a control racket...if you want to go heavier i guess there's the mid sized rackets, k90, rds001, prestige mid etc?
