Best Grand Slam to win?

Personally, in the History/Prestige category I would pick Wimbledon.

In terms of electric atmosphere, number of spectators, glitz, glamour and pure adrenalin and excitement etc., Id have to say US Open.. by a mile.

I have yet to see a more intimidating, imposing, electrifying arena than a packed capacity Arthur Ashe stadium, especially at night under the lights. It is absolutely amazing.

Grass is the least important surface of the 3 right now and there´s basically nothing on grass besides Wimbledon so some players don´t even bother or don´t take the tournament seriously, even skip it.
Many of them also dislike the treatment they get from the organizers which is understable.
I think the AO would be the least popular choice but it would be pretty balanced between all the other 3.

Same happens to some players at RG (the overwhelming dominance of hardcourt tournaments in the tour make some players despise other surfaces). There are many players who focus in R.Garros and don´t try so hard in Wimbledon because clay is their best surface, grass is their worst and Wimbledon comes after an intense clay season (and that´s not the case of just a few players).
I tell you I have read many interviews with current pros from latin countries (and latin players are about half of the top 100) and that´s what most of them think.
Perhaps it´s shocking for people who just read/watch the english speaking media but they are missing a big part of the picture.
Then add most of americans and french players who would probably pick their home Slams and you will see my point.
There is not one Slam more important than other right now (ranking points, 128 draws, similar prize money...). You can think about the one with most history,tradition...but not most important. Important is not the correct word if you want to rate majors based in your personal preferences.

Just to put things into perspective : Roger Federer first wanted to play professionaly when he saw, Sampras, guess where ? Also Novak Djokovic's idol, the same guy was an inspiration for him. Nadal grew up reaming of Wimbledon title. There you go, these three players should rest the case on what the pro players think about this.
