it's an 18x20 6.1 series with the latest K-Factor paint. Not sure what iteration of the 6.1 he's actually using.

^^What head size do you know?

His racquet head looks smaller than 95 on TV. Then again he is a BIG fellow.

Federer uses the retail K90 and has since 2002. :)

Hey BP, I'm sure you've seen some of the slo-mo vids of Fed hitting forehands when his racket looks so flexy it wobbles like jelly. Do you think all K90s react like this or does he have a special material set up?

No trick question here, I'm curious that's all.

Almost all racquets will wobble when it hits the ball if you view it in extreme slo-mo, but I find the retail K90 to be a pretty flexy racquet relative to most racquets on the market today. I also find the K90 to be flexier than both the nCode 90 and PS Tour 90.

Del Potro just manhandled Ferrer now let talk about his racquet instead of Ferrer's (why do we need 3 threads on Ferrer's racquet on the top anyway?)

low tension strings sends higher amplitude vibrations into the frame instead of higher frequency vibrations

Maybe Federer, like sampras, had the flex increased (stiffness decreased) on his racquet to lower the power level and gain more control. It'd make sense, considering how low he strings his racquets (54-57 lbs) but nobody seems to know FOR SURE, without a doubt. :p

Seem to remember there was mention on a thread a while back that he used to use the Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 18x20, think there were pics showing that. Can't remember source.

So maybe HPS with paint job? Whatever it is, the guy knows how to smack a tennis ball hard and flat.

That was the impression that I was under. If it isn't the HPS, then I would guess nCode. I doubt he is using the actual k95.
